On a sour note.....................
A stupid incident at work and I don't know what really brought it on . I am so tired of the stupidity of it all.
A person at work wants me to work with my windows screens open to max. I prefer to have screens open at min so I can have access to my desktop and other screens readily .
what is the problem here.

I work with many screens minimized as I find that easier to work on . I need at least 4 open at a time or rather I work with 4 open at a time some have them all at max I minimize them. Others have 5 to 6 screens open but all maxed. I dont' like it cause it hurts my eyes. What my wondering mind goes to is, what is the difference which way I do my work so long as I do it.
So whats the problem If I get my work done. It seems to confuse other people when they watch me work. and so what? I dont' ask them to do it my way.... If they are confused they don't have to do it my way. I don't pressure others to do it like I do.???

tell them the famous english proverb :Live and Let Live

by the way, you are doing multi-tasking correctly and efficiently as the number of windows you keep maximised, the more the computer has to work to 'display' the windows (if you get what i am trying to say i.e, the computer also has to display the interface of the maximised applications, thus slowing it down

That is purely a matter of personal preference, and it is of no real benefit one way or another. The fact that people like to do things differently is why windows is the way it is. You can customize your desktop, change the theme colors for your windows, etc. The theory is that everyone could set their environment a way that they like it, which makes working more enjoyable and can make you more productive.

Tell them its called multi-tasking efficiently. I also dont like to have things maximize. I believe it actually slows me down having everything all maxed out.

Anyway that shouldnt even be an issue, just as long as you do your work and they do theirs. There is no wrong or right.

As long as it's not your boss, then it shouldn't be a problem. You should politely tell the person you'll keep the screens however you want. They should mind their own business and not watch what your doing.

They should not be watching you do your work to get confused, they should be doing their own work. Tell them to try that for a change and not worry about how you do yours, at least yours is getting done

I don't see a problem as long as you are getting your work done.

what do they care?
if you think that confuses them, just wait until vista comes out and you can make your windows see-through!

It is so they can look over your shoulder and see what you are doing.
