I have half a wisdom tooth (it is still coming through) - I'll be OK for a few weeks, then spend a few days in agony while it pushes through some more - it's horrible. Worst thing is, it seems to be coming through sideways - ouch!!
And I still have 3 more of these to go!!!???? NOOOOOO
;-)

I FEEL YOUR PAIN!
I had my back molar pulled about 3 months ago. The dentist (that man of evil and mayhem) told me my wisdom tooth would "probably just fall into the space". Fall, nothing! It's been about 3 weeks of on again, off again excruciating pain....and I've got a high pain tolerance! I really don't think there is much that hurts worse than tooth pain. Anbesol is now my new bestfried, and I realize why babies cry so much when they are teething!
Best of luck to you.....

I have my top wisdom teeth in fact my dentist said he hopes I never have problems with them because they are way up by my sinus cavity. I had my two bottom wisdoms out last year it cost me $1200.00 to have them and one molar yanked. They were bothering me so bad that I couldn't even work! then I got dry socket because I was brushing my teeth and drove the toothbrush into the whole and ripped it open again. They finally healed and I am so glad I had them out! took a little recovery time but all is well now. Nothing like a bad toothache!

Once I went to my dentist and she exclaimed - Oh! You have a wisdom tooth! Two! All four!!! Haven't you noticed? Well, congratulations :)
I was 17 at the time, and indeed, I hadn't noticed I had them before she told me.
As a matter of fact, most people I know have never had wisdom teeth - e.g. my mother, my boyfriend, my best friend... Some of my acquaintances have just one or two (I'm not referring to those who had theirs pulled out, some wisdom teeth just never show up)

Ouchy. Time to have it out. I didn't get wisdom until in my late thirties, then I had my wisdom extracted!

I had all of mine taken out when I was 17. I was in bed for almost two weeks. It hurt so bad, but they give you some great painkillers.
