I used to have this problem & I've not yet found anything that works but I did read somewhere that vinegar will get rid of it (I've never tried though). What I did do though was buy a roll on for excessive sweating at the chemist. It's called Anhydrol Forte, it works a treat, it stops you sweating so will no longer get the stains under the arms of your t shirts

If the shirt is fairly worth saving, not other stains, try a paste of baking soda and peroxide, smear it on the stain area and let set for a few hours, then launder as usual. Also, I press my husbands t-shirts and use a little fabric sizing, it sure tends to make the shirts not stain and last twice as long..plus loopk and feel nice:)

You may change to Dove deo.
Don´t bleach...ever. This will destroy your shirt. While soaking I put directly a paste of Ariel (use water) on the stain...leave it on for hours, repeat if necessary. ..rub softly, any stain will dissapear. For bad odor add vinegar (1 vinegar 20 water) to your laundry (final cylce)
Vanish may be useful too for the stains.
All your white cotton clothes deserve a presoak with ariel every time you wash them, overnight a good idea.
I recommend you use a special t shirt under.
Some other tips here are good.

all the guys above me have probably given you 101 detergents 2 use ... here's a thing I learned only a short while ago...
the caffeine in tea & coffe is the primary reason why people get that.

truly! have less tea & stuff & you wont' have to worry about all that.

if you smoke though... I think avoidance tactics will work best i mean white t-shirts... but if you do, the fags should go too. don't smoke! it's bad for you :-)

well, i'm preached out for tonight, 'hope whatever you try works 4u, xx

I just avoided the shirts & piled whatever detergent into them & gave them a good scrub b4 they hit the washing machine...

Try changing your deodorant, most people think the under arm stains are caused by sweat, but actually its your deodorant reacting and causing the stain. My husband had the same problem and changed to an expensive brand of deodorant and the problem is now gone!

You can't. It's never going to come out in fact. The stains are caused by a reaction of the active ingredient in deodorant and your perspiration. Not Oxy Clean, bleach, or the vinegar solutions recommended are going to rid your t-shirts of the stains but you can avoid this in the future by letting your deodorant dry first before you put on your clothing.

They are difficult to remove, but here are some tips on preventing:
1) wear undershirts
2) change to a different deodorant...many times the stain is caused by a reaction between the deodorant and your sweat

If these shirts have porous fibers like cotton, the chances are that the colour from your sweat have actually dyed the fabric much like a colour dye would. If you got cotton with pit-stains, chuck the shirt, cuz it ain't going nowhere.

Soak the t-shirt in bleach for about three hours and then wash and hang out in the sunshine.
