Anyone know how long AAmco takes to rebuild or replace a transmission? And how much it cost to do?

prices depend on the make/ model of your vehicle. same way with how long it takes them also depends on how busy they are. you might want to call Aamco to find out the answers to your questions.

I had a stick shift replaced by AAMCO (clutch was fine) they replaced the gears, and cots was about 15.000, and they said the repair would take 3 days, and was done in 3 days..Yes, I was shocked too! :)

It would be very close to $2000, depending on the transmission you have. I should think they would do it within two days.

2 to 3 weeks for me and it cost either $2200 or 2800 can't remember exactly..I know they had it longer than they said they would..also they don't replace transmission lines..so if that fails you call them they charge you about 200.00 to 250.00 to replace them..I had my local guy do it using hoses, cost me 35.00 and that has been 4 yrs ago no problem...Good Luck
