Each generation will have their own preferences. However having seen both and loved both I'd say the old one in today's time is very dated today - lacks gloss and crispness. Also it was made on a low budget and that shows. Let's face it , that being old does not make it a classic as many seem to be now claiming it to be. It was a commercially successful pot boiler box office hit and that's all ! The new one is slick and stylishly mounted. Great adaptation of the songs and title music. My verdict - I say chaps the new DON is hot !

I think the old original one. Shahrukh was not able to the acting in the new DON but i think Amitab is a better actor than Shahrukh.

of couse the new one as it has the top star Sharuk Khan and on top of thatt in the old Don there weren't as many twists like there were in the new don.
