What is the minimum weight for models so they can be in a show?

Have you heard that a brezilian model died this week, she was 18, 1.74m and 40kg (88stones) !!!!!!

Many places now are requesting doctors exams or notes to participate in a show. A few are thinking of setting limits. But it's only just starting

If enough people are against underweight models then eventually the industry will self-regulate- but nobody has really done anything like boycott products or hold a protest. At the moment it's just a soapbox issue.

I think you meant to say 88 pounds which is 6 stone 2 pounds.
The average weight for a model is around 8 and a half stone.

i dont think there is a minimum. Some of them are so skinny they ahve to be tied down or lead soled shoes have to be worn.

Only kidding . My ex was a spanish model and was told she had to be a max of ten stone and no lighter than seven stone.

I wouls suppose it depends on the model and agency. Sophie Dahl is more than ten stone but has a very succesful modelling carrer

There's no minimum weight. Depending on the agency, you are plus size if your hips are larger than 40" or 42" - it doesn't matter what you weigh.
