The Government will of proved to the public that it is honest and staunchly law abiding.

The Police will of proved to the public they can 'get tough' and investigate politicians, not just persecute motorists.

So, it's a winner all round (apart for the taxpayer of course)

There will be no charges, you can be sure of it. This is Britain, the police will not seriously challenge their paymasters.

I think there may well be charges brought , I also think the government will find a "scapegoat"

It is quite a coincidence that some of these people who "donated" £ millions suddenly become "Peers of the Realm"

What intrigues me more than anything else is how quiet the Tories are.
No questions in Parliament etc.
Could it be that they have done exactly the same in the past?
Surely not. Can you imagine our true blue upstanding pillars of society selling Peerages for Cash ( true bloody true you can)

They are all the same, devious, self interested bastards.

Like many other bits of skullduggery this goverment gets up to they show all the intelligence of jellyish in trying to con the British public on their so called enquiries, their credibility ran out long ago. Doodydude has hit the nail on the head, this 'pretend' investigation is just another of New Labour's whitewashes.

Sorry if I offended jelly fish.
