It depends on your major. If it's anything with science, math, engineering, or medical - go for the MA. If it's Business, Education, or any other field where experience is just as valuable as schooling - wait! I was able to complete a Master's Degree in a year and a half while working full time. Again, depending on your major, most universities offer evening and sometimes weekend classes.

An MA isn't something that you should do 'just to get it out of the way' and education isn't finite but something that continues throughout your whole life. Ask yourself WHY you want a master's degree, do you want to stay at uni and be a perpetual student because you're afraid of what's out there in the big world? Why not get some experience of life itself, mix with people outside academia, smell the coffee!! Go back to uni at a later date as a fuller, more rounded person. I completed my MA last year and was able to bring a whole lot of life experiences to my study at the grand old age of almost 60...as I say, education never stops, it just doesn't all take place in a classroom. Good luck with whichever decision you make.

Do it right now. If you are in a Scientific field go for your PhD as well. You`ll never be more able to do it than right now. You can always get some work experience later. Go and work for a small salary after getting you MA and then you will have experience and be able to demand a beter salary. An Masters degree will get you atleast a 40% increase in salary over an BA.

If you do not have ANY working experience than it's kind of difficult to get admission to the master course. But, it also depend on your study field.
If you have the money and time, just go for it. But remember, the employer will PREFER someone with working experience than some master graduated but doesn't have any working experience

I am now doing a MA, I left it 20 years because I just assumed that a post-graduate qualification must be, by definition, harder than my degree! But I have to say I'm finding it a complete walk-through, so go for it!

My advice? Do it now. If you get a job, you´ll be trapped, and there´s a great chance that you might never be able to go back to school any more.
