Honestly, how often do you hear a women say," I can't believe how much my husband has let himself go." or ask this question on here "How come so many men immediately gain weight after getting married?" Men do though.

I wasn't talking about my guy, just in general because I have seen some ignorant questions on here towards wives letting themselves go. The men seem oblivious to the fact that they might not look like spring chickens either.
The guy I am with actually prefers me because I am a little chunky.

Not all women who have one child never lose the weight, I know a couple of women who had a few and look like twigs. I also didn't gain the weight until the last year or so and my oldest is 10 and the youngest is 7.

Not all men wait until middle age to bald, my ex-husband starting losing his hair in his early 20's, ha ha. (Sorry, I had to laugh because the first time after he saw our son after the divorce he noticed he was thinning on the top due ot alopecia and commented about it. Our son in return pointed out that Daddy was thinning worse.)

Most women aren't looking at the man's appearance but at the security he can provide. Most times women look a little deeper then men, it's more about intellect and respect. Most men want the "Trophy Wife." Mind you this is not a generalization, just an observation. Not all women or men act in any one particular way.
When anyone, male or female, make such comments it is based upon the insecurities they themselves feel. When they look at their spouse and can see the spare tire that has slowly grown over the years it is kind of a reminder of all of our inevitable fates, we grow old.

Erm.. men can't really help the baldness. It has to do with high levels of testorone so if you don't want that ... okay.
What I find more strange than the fact that women do have to be perfect always is that ladies aren't considered beautiful in the uk after 40 and in the states after 30 (they can be pretty but they're considered 'older') while a man could be 63 and still be considered the sexiest thing around.
I think some of the things you're talking about has a lot to do with children and such. Children are great, quite a blessing. But they can take up quite a good deal of ones time so men (and women) don't always have time to go to the gym or to go shopping and such. Also, they can give you some stress which doesn't help with anything. They can take up loads of time (like I said before) so that there is less intimacy in the marriage and they are expensive so usually both mum and dad are working extra hard and don't have time for working out and dieting. Children are lovely, yes, but they are a huge responsiblity.
And once one gets past one's 20s the metabolism isn't as fast and of course that can add to the problem.

A woman can't reamain perfect. Perfect does not exist. However, you're with the wrong man then. I have been married for 12 years and the extra weight I have gained has been muscle. I work out 3 days a week, use sunblock and that "perfect" skin stuff. A lot of people let themselves go after they get married, not just men but women as well. It is up to the individual to take charge of their own appearance.

This is new for me. Most married men I know have not cared (or have never displayed any reproval) of their wives getting fat after marriage. I even once asked in this site that if guys dont have a problem on being married to fat women, why dont they give the wonderful and generous fat ladies a chance to start with, cause when they are looking for someone to date, they are cruel on the way they pick up the ones who fit the so called 'patterns of beauty' the most and leave all the other ones behind...

It was true for me. It took several years but I started to let myself go. My wife, on the other hand, still looks great. Actually better than when we first met. About six months ago I started cycling and working out. Within three months I had lost 30 pounds and was feeling and looking great. My wife thinks I look sexy (which I do) and our relationship has only gotten better. Let this be a lesson to all the guys that have gained weight...lose the weight. Not only will your wife thank you but you will have more energy and stamina which will be important for all the more sex you'll have.

A man does not choose to go bald after marriage or can ever choose to go bald. And lots of women moan about their fat husbands, my mother especially. It is a fact of nature that if a man is going to go bald he will go bald and theres not a lot you can do about it. It's not their choice, if they had the choice I can't imagine any man wanting to go bald even if they didn't mind being fat. People ususally get married when they are younger and it's just an unfortunate fact that as you get older you will put on more weight even if you eat and drink the same amount as you always have.

before everything muscular women all and sundry is disgusting and look as though men, so i'm hoping you recommend toned up. 2d of all maximum enticing women all and sundry is shallow. i won't be in a position to mislead you. So get your rear-end off that seat and burn those carbs up darlin'. enhance an quantity of self esteem and eat healthily. the appealing women i be conscious of are all shallow, and that they'll purely date somebody who looks after his self and his very own appearence. No appealing lady desires to be with a lazy guy, a lazy guy = a guy who would not make attempt with something.

Its equal for both. To the point of view of health as well putting up weight is not good. But men should also remain smart. Normally men dont put up weight as soon as women do.

I don't think the guys who you hope to receive answers from will answer this question, unfortunately. Maybe they think the answer is obvious...women must be perfect for ANY guy, and ANY guy will do for a less than perfect woman.

Sigh.

That is not my answer though. I think you're right; all people should maintain themselves for each other, and not have to have grooming or motivation from the other person either.
