The BBC, CNN and Al-Jazeera can all be considered reasonably balanced from their points of view- but these viewpoints are different.

As an Arab station Al-Jazeera gets closer to the real day-to-day situation of the Middle East- wheras other outlets are restricted by threat of violence.

Overall Al-Jazeera is a professional station and their reporting and interviews are of a good quality- and although some might say there was an anti-Israeli slant this merely reflects its environment.

So good overall- but I'll stick to the BBC for its focus at home.

I have never seen it but I want it. How else are you going to know what the other guy is thinking. From what I've seen on U.S. television about it, it looks like it is slanted pretty much anti U.S. It will be a good tool for the radicals to sway U.S. public opinion. Just remember the source when you watch it. They show terrorist beheadings on there. That should wake up some of the hawks as to what this kind of war is.

I would be interested to compare, but our cable company does not intend to add Al Jazeera International to the service. I would need a satellite receiver to see it, and that I don't have.
