There is no such thing as a snail without a shell. It's part of their body, just like the shell of a turtle. A turtle doesn't become a lizard without its shell. The shell is actually a part of its body as well.
Slugs also tend to be rounder and fatter. If you look closely at a snail, the sides of it look like somewhat like tiny flaps.

A Slug has no shell so is nude anyway and a snail is nude if he loses his shell!!
