Most events on the ATP, WTA etc have no real dress codes. Examples shows when the Williams sisters dressed up in their own designed clothes in a few tornaments.
However, at Wimbledon, the dress code is strictly white. tennis players will never wear long trousers or sleeves if you look carefully because it restricts their movement. so shorts and t-shirts are the preferred "dress code". Generally female tennis players tends to wear skirts.
The real answer to your question is that dress code is really up to the event organisers. Every tornament has different dress codes.
