When you are selling your house, you want people to be able to see it. If you have an open house, it means that you don't have to have an appointment to see it. The house will be open and available for viewing. There will be a real estate agent there to answer questions (and to make sure you don't walk off with their possessions).

It means the agent will be showing the house without appointment. Usually, around here anyway, most open houses will be on Sunday between 12 and 4 PM. (I'm in the U S in Missouri). And you can walk in to look at it any time between those hours.

It means the house is open for viewing by the general public without an appointment generally.

Here is some additional info. Hope this helps.

It means it will be open to the public to veiw at the times stated, sorta like a big boring party, with people you don't know. most of which more then likely smell bad.

They will give tours of the house ("One and a half baths, very nice, look at this closet, almost all the blood came out of the carpet!") and try to convince you its the piece of crap you have been looking your entire life for

It's a day that they will allow people to walk through and look at the house. The house is "open" for viewing.
