Probably because there's still racism in the world and while there's still predjuce there will never be equality. Sad isn't it?

While you speak in generalizations (are Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan having a tough time with their millions?) there is no doubt there are a lot of issues holding blacks down. The single worst offender is discrimination. This cuts off the capitalization and opportunities required to make it in this world. The second offender is the black attitude, so excruciatingly pointed out by Bill Cosby.
No doubt, both truths hurt. But to blame any one misses the point and falls short. Society really needs to face both problems head on. Alas, people of all races are so sensitive . . .

I think that the answer to your question is because of the racist society that we live in. It's funny how people try to cover this fact up with this so called diversity catch phrase but if we didn't live in such a racist classicist society then why are there a huge number of black C.E.Os ? Why hasn't it been a black president? why isn't it so "DIVERSE" at the higher levels of government? Why aren't there good schools in inner city areas ? It's because of the racist society in which we live and are a part of . Until we face those facts then minorities will have it harder.

I think that used to be true but not any more. I think it's very hard for Muslims and Mexicans to be accepted in our society now. I'm not saying I don't accept them by any means. I just think there's some hostility towards them by many people in the US and it must be really hard for them, much harder right now than for blacks.

To give you the short answer: culture and discrimination.
I'm in Orange County in CA and I hear racist remarks in the corporate environment all the time (behind closed doors in meetings and such). Which is obviously a bad thing but its just one of those facts of life. Racism isn't ever going to disappear. At least not completely.

It's hard for everyone! Access to education is the only way to overcome the injustice of a society still bound by privilege and inheritance.

look i'm black and i'm a male thats 2 strikes already and my 3rd strike is me answering this question because white people just don't want to hear how bad blacks are being treated.
they only want to hear about other whites. and you can go on and on and their only excuse to show you their racist is when they say blacks are lazy or they steal or on welfare.
they always generalize our whole race every time they talk about us. thats how i know.

people dont hire black ppl as much
I have seen it in multiple jobs, it is unspoken but sometimes spoken. I have watched a district manager tell managers to hire a black female for lawsuite reasons as well.
There are stereotypes but there has been cases of different work ethics in many classes you can't deny.

I don't know where you all live but in my State and city there doesnt seem to be a problem. Most of the people in my area are well educated though.
Generalizing sounds a bit like racism to me.

simply because white people make it hard for black or colored people to make it in society, white people invented racism.
