You had a hole punched through a body part and then introduced a foreign object to rest there. Yes, I'd say it's normal. If there is any sort of pus, drainage or continued bleeding, then there may be some infection present. If it is still bothering you tomorrow, drop by where you had it pierced and get their opinion. Always go with your instinct, if you think there is someting 'just not right', then go see a doctor now to ease your mind, but you'll probably be fine.

Lip piercings take around 2-3 months to heal thoroughly - i don't comprehend why your piercer would have been keen to stretch your piercing at 4 weeks, that's incredibly ridiculous. you will desire to no longer stretch a piercing till after double the healing time. it relatively is only rather aggravated - while you're actually not nevertheless following aftercare then you definately would desire to be seeing as how that's unhealed. Do sea salt soaks two times an afternoon on the outdoors and alcohol unfastened mouthwash on the interior after nutrition. and don't substitute the jewellery back.

You're probably having a foreign-body reaction to the metal. Here's an idea: Take it out, let the hole heal, and don't get any more piercings. And examine why you needed to perform an act of self-mutilation to feel better about yourself.

Yes. my sister's took a couple of weeks to settle down but it could be worth nipping to your Gp for a quick checkup to set your mind at rest. She nipped to the Doctor's and he gave her some great cleansing fluid which we all still use for cuts etc.to stop infection. Hope this helps!

Everyone takes various amounts of time to heal depending on their metabolism. My belly button took over a year to heal proerly. Give it at least six weeks and if it still hurts after that, then get it checked out.
