People always talk about economic patriotism (I think that was how Jaques Chirac called it last year), but when it comes right down to it, people always go for the lowest price.

It exists and will help or harm products.If people expect tomato sauce to have an Italian name it better have an Italian name even if it was made by Koreans.Try putting a map of Pakistan on the jar instead of a map of Italy and see what happens.Real Italians would go cross-eyed at the stuff we think they like.Tomato sauce that really came from Italy would make the price higher so you can only take the fantasy so far.
