I hold nothing but respect, and especially hope, towards the Iranian people. What your culture and heritage has given to the development of mankind is immeasurable.
Even Alexander was fascinated to the point of marrying a Persian woman.
I certainly don't believe that former mayor of Tehran-- Ahmadinijad-- speaks for the whole of the Iranian people.
Neither do I hold the Ayatollahs' words of hatred for the West against you.
America has it's own unstable leaders.
I pray that the Iranian people depose of those Theocrats that seek world confrontation.
I'm told there are many things about American culture the Iranian people enjoy. While this knowledge makes me happy, please don't think Hollywood and it's moral decadence represents ALL of America.
Just like you, The USA counts millions of people that want peace for their families.

Generally speaking it is not average Iranians that people are concerned about, but rather the government of Iran. Although I cannot deny that there are ignorant people out there who cannot make the distinction properly. I have known Iranian people over the years and have almost always found them to be intelligent thoughtful people. The biggest problem today is that people are kept in constant fear of that which we don't properly understand. We are shown people chanting "Death To America" and a president who makes veiled threats regarding nuclear arms and that fear is then personified. I hope that cooler heads prevail in the world because if we choose we certainly can get along, if not then we also have the ability to destroy each other. One scenario is definitely preferred over the other. By posting your opinions and expressing the ideas of peace you are definitely part of solution.

Might want to get a bit more familiar with the qua ran. It is commanded by Mohammad to have the infidel convert or die. To further have only one religion for the entire globe.. as the Iranian president has said (as was revealed in the documentary shown by CNN), the capital of that government is already established to be in Babylon. You must be aware.... CNN is not known for being anti terrorist but, still went ahead and put this show on the air. A pretty big step for them.

Obama isn't destroying united statesa., this is ridiculous. The Iranians are struggling with back because of the fact they comprehend that their election became fastened. there became a straightforward election right here and the time-honored public elected Obama. So what can we choose a backbone for to that end? i'd prefer to ascertain the Republican whiners right here get a backbone and only cope with the reality that the yank human beings rejected their way of doing issues. extremely of only being nasty and insulting for the sake of it, they might rather stop whining and artwork on taking back the occasion from the rejected neocons. i comprehend a few Republicans attempt to do precisely that. Too undesirable we don't see greater of them in YA than we do the fringers.

The question about Iranians wanting to destroy the U.S. really means that the Iranian regime wants to do that. There are of course many decent Iranian citizens, and in particular those who belong to the religious minorities there
Their goal, as is the goal of all radical Islamists, is to Islamize the whole world. In support of this goal Ahmadinejad has declared publicly that he intends to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.
He must not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.

Certain people from the Muslim world believe that America is trying to spread Imperialism across the world, and gain oil/gas etc from dwindling world reserves in other countries, and believe they don't care how they do it (i cant think why they think this!). Also America sends Billions of dollars to Israel which obviously doesn't go down well with the Arab world. If Iran carries on with their nuclear policy (if its true and are in the position of making weapons), then it will massively destabilize the middle east. Israel has said that they will act if Iran carries on with their nuclear program. By the way America sent aid (?) to Iraq when they fought against Iran not that long ago, how many died in that war?

You are spot on. What you see on television as regards burning effigies of Bush and the american flag, are people who have been coerced into stirring up trouble by persons who benefit from a hostile situation. 99.99% of the Iranian population could`nt care less about having a nuclear deterent, they just want to be left alone to live their lives in peace. All this nonsense about Iran wanted to nuke America and Israel and vice versa is malicious propoganda designed to create tension, which would not otherwise exist.

It's the media, we don't see the Iranians saying "we like americans" or even "we don't think twice about americans" we only see the "idiots" as you say that want us dead. We think our leaders are idiots too but we don't want to kill them, just kick their *** a little.

I have no doubt that the average Iranian person on the street is peaceful. Our beef is not with them; it's with Iran's "leaders" who have threatened violence and annihilation numerous times.
