extremely,
I come from Sri Lanka, before being invaded by Europeans SL used to be know as a paradise or the land without sorrow to both far and the middle east, We gave the World flavour :) spices :) Cinnamon, it's native to SL.

we have irrigation systems that were built a thousand years ago but working extremely well even today,

The oldest known wild life reserve was in Sri Lanka (when the SL king was hunting a Buddhist monk explained that even the animals, the birds and the fish have as much a right as we do in sharing this planet and were not for our pleasure hunting, so the king decided to reserve an area where no one was allowed to hunt making it the first known wild life reserve)

it's home to the oldest human grafted tree still surviving (it's a BO tree grafted from the actual tree which Buddha meditated under)

we gave the world the first woman prime minister

even the the terrorist are hardcore in SL, just type LTTE on wikipedia.org and read for your selves

we were high on moral values, philosophy and spirituality.....but then one day capitalist Westerners came along.......and that was just it

Yes, I am very proud of being a native Californian. It is a beautiful state and the city of San Francisco is its heart.

I'm also proud to be of African descent, born and raised in America.

Quite proud. A lot of people would probably love to see the opposite but to heck with them! I'm of Black, Jewish, Sicilian, German, and French background and I'm very proud of my ancestry. It's what makes me "VICTORIA". I wouldn't be anything else or *profess* to be anything else-EVER. :)
