Pretty much anywhere. Every job involves some type of reporting, documenting, literature. Making a report the number one thing that most police officers are weak at. Politicans/ Government will love an English graduate. Telecommunications need script writers for the anchor persons. Everywhere. Lawyers need paralegals and legal assistants. Do not have to limit yourself to teaching. Every career requires excellent writing skills, knowledge of the English grammar. The opportunities are endless.

You can apply for a program called "Teach for America." It involves teaching in minority public schools and the position lasts for 2 years. The pay is a little higher than average for teachers, but it is a very rigorous application process. Exit options are great because many people go on to becoming consultants or investment bankers. It builds leadership skills and allows you to directly influence the life of others - something that top business schools love.

Instead of being so serious and be very much stressed in operating a business, why not just take his time, considering he is already 60 years old. Based on your description he is quite a guy " old guy'and what he needs is a woman to occupy his time. Just joking!!
