hello everyone, I am 18 years old and studying in a college, I made it to one of the best universities because I had high grades, although my problem is that I can't study......
Its my second year in college, last year I got a very high grade but seriously it was like wow, like every year from the beginning of high school because I really don't study at all unless there is an exam for example I start studying if the exam is after tommorow. What helps me is that I attend all lectures and understand everything well but when I go back home I feel like no no no I will not study I will have more time tommorow and tommorow happens the same....
I feel very much anger (from mycelf) when I see people studying and I mycelf didn't open a book from the beggining of the term, I would like someone to help me with this problem
you will tell me that I get high grades in the end, but I feel very much pressure throughout the year and before the exams because i know that I dont study and I could fail.

relax. the fact that u said that u attend all lectures and understand is a plus point. i myself dont study until the last minute. i used to feel the same way as u. But i have gotten used to it, in the sense that , its the way i get good grades. and since u listen and understand before, that is kinda like u are already studying and thus, u have more free time. I wouldnt worry about it too much.
If u are still serious about stuyding before, then u have to make ur resolve even more stronger. Set a target for the day and do it, dont put it off the next day.
best of luck

What helped me was I studied a little bit every day (almost). Between classes while still on campus or go an hour early or stay an hour late on campus and study (basically go over notes and try to answer study guides without using your books or notes). Basically, when you go home you don't want to study and procrastinate because there is other stuff to do and you get distracted, by staying on campus (library, some corner in a building, bench in the sun...) you can concentrate and not be distracted.

I did this and went from a cumulative 2.1 to a 3.5 GPA in three semesters. It will also reduce stress during exam times because you will already be prepared.

it's clear you have bad study habits, or maybe no study habits. you can check with the student aid center at your school and check into getting a tutor to help you study for the exams. i was the same way, so i know it's on your mind, i couldn't get a tutor so i just had to buckle down, which I'm not real good at, but with perseverance i made it. you may not think that your grades are important, but they are. you may not think a good education is worth all you go through, but it is.

the thing is there are so many ways of studying.some people are really smart and when they are taught something in class it sticks into their head and thatz it.so far as people are studying and u are not it doesn't make u an unserious student.this is a gift from God.as far as u get good grades in your exam don't worry abt Wat is happening now.its a normal thing and u shld avoid whatever your friends or lecturers say

Sounds to me like you have a photographic memory or at the very least a very good memory.
