5/60 is what you want to convert. You want to convert that number into x/100, 100 being a whole number (1), x being the amount out of the whole. This is how its done. 100 divided by 60 = 1.66666666666666...... This gives you the number you need to multiply the 5 by in order to get the equal value relative to the 100. 5 x 1.66666666....... = 8.333333333........
