Will you sleep better at night if Jay-Z leaves Beyonce and hooks up with Rihanna?

It depends. Some people care, some don't give a damn about them. I find some interest in it, but not a whole lot. I'm more like "oh, Britney and Kevin split" but that's about it. I'd say some reasons why people care are things such as they consider celebrities gods, see them as role models, or just plain don't have a life and are dependent on someone else's.

Its because people are interested in gossip about people they know. I could care less. Then again, I don't have TV, so I don't know who these people you mention are. They sure have unusual names though. Most of the people I know are named Bob or Mary or Sue.
I think a lot of people use TV so they don't have to use their brains.

well i guess they just envy celebrities and how they get to lead sucha 'fairy tale' lifestyle having whatever they want, the fame, the money, being able to land themselves in all sorts of situations u never would expect. its what makes the entertainment world alive i guess. without celebs the world would be a more quieter place and perhaps there wouldnt be so much poverty if everyone shared their bit of fortune eh.
