Morning i am really p***ed this morning i have moved areas recently and had to leave my gp of 24 years as they said that they could not treat me out of the area, now the area tthat we have bought the house in is telling us that none of them are taking on patients and my old gp surgery are telling me that it is not up to them i am now out of the area.
We pay the best part of £200 a week in taxes and nh we have a 2 year old daughter and i have problems at the moment that need to be tended to by a gp but no one seems to care.
I might be wrong as i do not now the ins and outs of this but i am sure we could get private for the same amount of nh we are paying or maybe even a bit more to make it up.
It annoys me also that there are foriegners coming straight from the boat and be handed doctors all the there health issues sorted and anything else that they due to all these top knobs scared to offend them..i am sorry i have gone on i am just annoyed..

I totally agree with you.

Just keep persevering with sugeries within your PCT (Primary Care Trust) area until you find one that will take you. This page links to a list of all the places near you: http://www.nhs.uk/England/AuthoritiesTrusts/Pct/Default.aspx

In the meantime, if you have anything that needs a doctor, you should be able to get an appointment at any local surgery so long as you supply your current doctor's details (it's the same thing as what would happen if people needed the doctor when on holiday elsewhere in the country).

Failing that, ring NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 and they should be able to put you into contact with someone who can help further, or even help arrange an appointment or arrange for a doctor to visit.

Sorry about you're situation. If your local doctors isn't taking on new patients they should give you a number to call to find out which surgery is- this includes dentists as well. They can also see you as a patient even if you don't belong to the surgery, I know this is not ideal, but if you or your daughter need to see someone urgently they will treat you- you just have to fill in some forms for them. Hope you get sorted out soon.

No she will't, no longer on a focused visitor visa. GPs and stroll in Centres do no longer routinely grant being pregnant tests besides - flow and purchase one from a pharmacy. Your spouse isn't entitled to NHS therapy till that is by using way of A&E in an EMERGENCY (ignored era, being pregnant are actually not emergencies), if she desires therapy for a sexually transmitted ailment or if she is sectioned under the psychological well-being Act. If she demands medical interest you will could desire to flow to a private physician or well-being facility. She does have medical coverage I take it? honestly no you would be stupid adequate to flow to yet another united states of america for 6 months devoid of taking away medical coverage?

I totally agree with you. Have you tried going on the NHS or Goverment websites. They may be able to give you the address of a GP in your catchment area that IS taking new patients. Or in the worst case just go to the A&E. Good luck...

You will just have to persevere , hunt a few more surgeries out
you could always ask the people you bought the house from who their GP was they must be able to take you !
I have had this problem and just kept on and it was ok .
Good luck !
