I don't really care, as long as it's thoughtful. I would rather someone spend $20 on me and have it been thought out rather than $200 and they just picked something up randomly for me.

The most favourite gift i got on my birthday was an sms(when i woke up) from my exboyfriend whom i still do love after our break up, after a long time we kept silence. Due to that sms, we i had a wonderful birthday with him and we came back.

Something that I know they put some thought into. I hate getting lotions and the typical girly stuff. Although the thought is nice, I like stuff that's unexpected.

Cards!
Silly, but true. I do, and have always, enjoyed getting birthday cards on my birthday. "Gifts" are a little boring to me. I perfer the card. In fact, you can tell by walking into my bedroom. I have them all on my walls. Have kept cards since 1998.
