Motley Crue for me too! I recently saw The Crue and Aerosmith at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on 4th Nov, and they totally Rocked!! Both bands know how to put on a great show, I esp loved Motley's Phyrotecnics! I'm now hoping that they come back to the UK next year, I'll be there like a shot if they do!

I agree- it is definitely Motley Crue. I loved it when Tommy Lee was beating those drums while extended above the stage in the cage.

I go to loads of gig and it has to be The Levellers at Rock City, Nottingham earlier this year. I am not a massive fan but this gig was amazing - fantastic live performers, you could actually feel the floor moving as the crowd got into it. Great venue, great live band, great crowd.
Ebenezer, glad you enjoyed your gig however I have been to a few gigs at the Arena in Nottingham including big names like Oasis - for me it it is a sole-less place for a concert - no atmosphere. Try Rock City next time a decent band is in town, I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Haven't been fortunate to see many live bands - just two...
First was 23 years ago at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto and it was Chicago. Was in the nosebleed section but it was a great show and the band was hot at the time.
Earlier this year I saw the the first North American concert tour stop of INXS in Vancouver - great show - mix of new and old songs and everyone rocked on. When the band made the stop in my hometown - I went again and took my youngest child to his first concert - he had a great time (we are in a smallish town and don't get bigger name bands coming here so not much to choose from).

I saw the Band at Watkins Glen in 1974. It really seemed that they made the rain stop.
I'm glad you got to go to Cardiff for the show. I wish I could get over there!

Queen at the Milton Keyenes Concert Bowl on there Hotspace tour and am not even going to say "has to be" because it IS the best, Freddy rocked his little socks off that day with the audience at his command Brians guitar playing was spot on, Deacon played his Bass with style and Taylor was at his usual best and if you want proof it's on DVD
That's a day I'll never forget "BRILLIANT"!!!!!!

I'm from a small city in South Africa so we don't get to see too many live concerts. Of the ones I have seen though Skunk Anansie has to be the best. Skin has the most powerful voice I've heard!

Brian May at Nottingham Arena. The venue was really intimate, and there was a real rapport with the audience.
He was just making his comeback after Freddie Mercury had died, so some of the songs were very poignant.

I guess i'd have to say the flaming lips. Been going to see them since the boombox experiment in london almost 10 years ago and seen them on every tour since. Its the only gig where you have a smile on your face from start to finish and come out with the wide eyed wonderment of childhood. Go see!
