I was due to go on a sponsored buggy walk (a walk with my baby in his pram) but we have both been struck down by this nasty tummy bug going around so we can't do it. I am going to send a donation instead.
Is anybody else doing anything for such a great cause??

All money rasied from Children in Need stays in the UK for our children. I support this charity every year as you never know one day, you might just need it.

I figured instead of just money they also need clothes so I donated some of my old clothes to Goodwill and a friend of mine donated a box of canned goods to her local foodbank.

I have seen a commercial on TV about abused children, NSPCC, and i start to cry.. It's so sad to see that grown-up people can raise their hands on something so nice and beautiful and small...
So i start to give 5 pounds every month for them.. I know it's not much, but i hope somebody will do the same and maybe they can make a bigger donation.. I am an au-pair from Romania, and i have only 240 pounds monthly, so for me it's very hard to give more.. But in this country they are so many people with a lot of money and they just don't care... Instead of buying drugs, alcohol and God knows what else, they can do a donation that may save a child's life..

I wouldn't mind doing something if it were for children in the UK, but I'm afraid I'm not giving anything to help those "poor" people abroad (and that usually means the Africas) who seem to do nothing but breed non-stop even though they know they cant afford to keep the kids. If I were to send them anything it would be a crate of condoms, but even they would probably "get lost" before they got anywhere near their intended recipients due to all the corruption and outright robbery, so why should I bother?
Oh, and by the way, YES, I DO give to the UK charities.

First I suggest is call the media such Newspaper, Radio Station. They will definite to help you especially for this kind of Home. Then u guys in Home create your own 'Bookmark stating some sort of words which for helping out the children if possible get it print out by Printers. Then get frens and Iam sure there r so many out there willing to help and get donation give them back the book mark as souvenir.
