I have aproblem with immigration center which process my case .They messed up my case .
i wrote a complain letter to him .

Congressmen have considerable power. If he wanted to, he could fix your problem with one phone call. Usually, however, you would need to "grease his palm" with some cash, or persuade him that votes were at stake. Otherwise, he will probably ignore you. Sometimes it works to call his office, as then you might get the sympathetic ear of one of his aides who might still care about Government service.

A congressman has debating and voting power which
will result in contacts that have power, but he can‘t go
into an immigration office and give an order that must
be obeyed, but can be influential in respect of his
position. You can compare a Congressman to a British
MP, where some have more influence than others.

You can write a letter to a congressperson, but in your situation, that is probably not the correct route to get satisfaction.

yes they do, they can solve many problems for their constituents and most are helpful and glad to be of service
