have cookies and cold milk during the afternoon and then taking a nap?

sometimes i think our preschool and kindergarten children act better then adults. i wonder if having milk and cookies and napping together is the trick that helps them to get along better then we do sometimes. when you go into a day care, you don't see them ignoring each other and not even looking at each other. not giving each other the time of day to give a little smile at least. they play, get along, resolve problems (mostly) amongst themselves if given the chance. and they still get along and play nicely with each other the next day. if we followed the same rule do you think we would all be nicer to each other and get along?

dang.....cold........oh well, maybe she got no cookies and milk as a kid. she wants to take the cookies and milk away from the kiddies....boo. so something that has been done for more years then can be counted and has worked she doesn't agree with. so what is she going to do when her kids go to school? make the teacher keep them awake and staring at the rest of the kids? come one.......its a cookie. not a bag of chips and a chocolate bar. i wish i could of im'ed her. oh well, maybe she'll come back and read this.

The milk and cookies idea should definitely be a law. As for the other, kids play nice because if they don't they know they'll be punished. Most adults behave for the same reason. Take away the threat of punishment and you would have a whole different world.

No not a good law. There's a serious obesity and especially childhood obesity issue in the U.S. To teach kids that it's okay to take a nap after eating junk food. They will apply this rule to their adult nutrition and lifestyle. They will grow up to be overweight because they think it's normal or standard to eat junk food or some meal and stay on the sofa or sleep in the bed afterwards. Not a bright ideal.
Need a better method to get the resolution you're looking for.

Cookie time and nap time could solve so many problems, but would be horrible on my diet.

Sorry but it would not help adults. We have had too much time to develope our prejudices and unhealthy habits. If we could just become like little children again, but oh well.
