Close to the end of pregnancy sex can induce labour. As far as I know you can go for it after the 3-4 month time.

If the doctor told your wife not to have sex then she shouldn't be having sex. There is a good reason why the doctor told her this. Maybe it could hurt your wife in some way or make her go into labor.
I stopped having sex in my 5th month of pregnancy with my husband cause it was so uncomfortable and we didn't have sex until 2 months after i had our son (I had a c-section). He didn't complain though- he took matters into his own hand(s) lol
Just do what the doctor tells you and your wife
Good luck and congrats

If your doctor has said not to have sex, then DO NOT HAVE SEX. If your wife has a high-risk pregnancy such as diabetes, high blood pressure or multiples, previous history of miscarriage or stillbirth then the doctor will advise you to abstain. If you're not sure why the doctor told you this, ask at the next visit. She should be able to explain her reasons.

Hi,
Yes your woman doctor is wrong .You can very well have sex with your wife until she give birth. In fact your wife will enjoy the most as during pregnancy the pelvic portion of female comes forward which give more enjoyment to female. Yes you have to take care that should not put any pressure on abdomen of your wife.
Enjoy Life

If her Doctor told her that then there must be a medical reason...
Usually it is safe but if there are any high risk tendencies, that Doctor will stop any sexual activity or otherwise. You have to be smart and heed medical advice unless you want your wife to loose her child...Try speaking to the Doctor and tell him to explain his concerns, in the meantime the Doctor is the expert not anyone on this panel...

I never understood it to be a problem. But, I'm not a doctor, and there can be individual situations that would make a determination like that.
(on the light side):
I wonder what the little bumpkin would be thinking when you decide to have sex? I mean, is he/she insulted by it?

I heard you can have sex right up until labor, although most couples aren't comforable with sex during the last trimester. The only thing is to be gentle so as to not put your wife into premature labor.

I think it depends on how she feels. As far as I know the baby won't be harmed if you do so. Ofcourse you have to be a bit more delicate, but other than that it should be fine. As I mentioned before, make sure she feels ok doing it.
