I graduated from a very reputable school. I passed the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) Board Exam in just one take and I got a good average. ever since I was in college, people always tell me I'm smart. Now, my career hasn't been off to a good start. It started with an unchallenging job, then me being stupid coz I turned down an interview with a big and famous auditing firm.

I so regret that I turned down their offer. I did it coz I was stupid and naive and I thought that if I did accept it, I might lose the job I had already secured.

In my second job, I was told to file a forced resignation.

In my third job, I'm very much underpaid, I tried and tried so hard to look for another job. I'm so tired already. There's this company I like but they're looking for fresh grads. It's too bad because the compensation is really good.

Considering my qualifications, i should be receiving 250% of what I receive now. What should i do? I feel so down.

I am a good person and I always pray to God. I always put him first ahead of things. Why then does he not help me when I am trying my best and asking for his help at the same time?

What did I do to deserve this? Why does God let bad things happen to good people?

I also donate to charity and help other people in my own little ways.

I need money. I don't even have the things like mobile phones which average people do have.

What did I ever do to God that he punishes me like this? I always try hard to please Him.

littleloudboy, I JUST SAID THAT I JUST DON'T RELY ON GOD TO DO EVERYTHING FOR ME. I WORK HARD, TRY THE HARDEST, AND DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO IMPROVE MY CAREER.

JUST BECAUSE I PRAY DOESN'T MEAN I RELY ON HIM FOR EVERYTHING. I SAID I PRAY AND WORK AT THE SAME TIME.

I think you need to relax a little bit to begin with. Haven't you ever heard the phrase "When God closes a door He opens a window"? Now, I know that's not exactly how the phrase goes but that's how I say it. God gives us trials sometimes just to show us how strong we are. Don't give up on Him. He is getting you ready for the right job so just stay strong. The things that you are going through right now are learning experiences. Trust me... I know you don't know me but trust me....things will be okay. Just keep your eyes on Him and know that He has a bigger plan for you. I'll keep you in my prayers tonight. God Bless.

You should start applying for business school. That is where people generally get a second chance to get into a high paying job. Read books from the library about the application process and for the top 10 or 20 in your country. It will work out if you perservere. Keep up your faith in God! He is here with you and is working behind the scenes in your life. In the mean time, develop meaningful relationships and help people along the way. You are in their lives (and at these places) for a reason. Don't give up hope. It will work out.

I truly feel for you. Life can be downright hard and miserable sometimes. God won't abandon you, in fact he understands where you are at. Think about all the crap Jesus dealt with during his life here on earth.

Think of this as your time in the desert wilderness. God has brought you to this point in your life for a reason. There are many lessons in life that just can not be learned the easy way. God is constantly coaching us to be better and better through and these pruning processes of our lives. So many great men of the bible went on to accomplish amazing things after enduring a period of time in the desert such as Moses & David.

Use this time to focus on him and the blessings you do have. Ask him to use you and reveal to you his purpose for you. I have a feeling that this period will soon be over and your life will soon take off! Rose bushes need a good pruning prior to major growth, and look at all the beauty that comes from that!

I think maybe you need to take control of your life and stop thinking that God is going to take care of everything. Praying can make you feel good, but you can't just turn every decision in your life over to God and hope you'll magically have your wishes answered. He's not the lottery! Good luck to you. You need some confidence!

I do not think God is punishing you. I think God is telling you that you are too smart to be just an employee. So do not short-changed yourself. I used to be in corporate work, but I got retrenched after 8 years of doing good work. I was unhappy at that time, then God led me to MLM. These days, I earn more money in MLM working less hours. God is wonderful. Be sensitive to what He is trying to tell you.

Look at it this way- now you know what steps to take to make it happen. Learn from your mistakes. Nobody ever became sucessful by not making any. I am currentll studying accounting. I dread the CPA exam. Use what you have and DO IT!!! Good luck!!

Don't blame God. Just remember God helps those who help themselves.

Sometimes we think we know what is best for ourselves, but really God knows what is best for us and at what time. Sometimes the timing is just wrong.

Hang in there.
