I'd rather hear "Have a nice day" from someone who doesn't mean it. Because I would be taken away by the police if I heard the other as assault is illegal.

Have a nice day ;) (btw I mean it)

Good qquestion as i cant stand kiss ar*es.... people who say 'have a nice day' or things like 'you look nice', when they obviously dont.... so in that situation just dont say anything so your not being rude.... as for the saying F off from someone who does mean it... if i deserve it then i fill take it on the chin and probably tell them to f off as well... then set them on fier... is that a bit harsh lol

I guess a straight forward F Off, is better than a "pretend" have a nice day. So F Off any day! I hate false people. I have a friend who asked me what I thought of her new boyfriend, I told her I think he's a Prick! She hasn't spoken to me in months! But she asked!?
Ps. He really is a prick - he cheats on her left, right and centre!

The F off would at least show it's coming from somebody who isn't under the influence of Americanisms !

Unlike many people, I don't mind "Have a Nice Day!" or "Enjoy!" one bit. I would far rather get a smile than a snarl, however false it may be. It makes life a little more pleasant. I hope other answers will be in the affirmative...we could use more cheerfulness and politeness in our everyday life.

How about, "F Off and have a nice day somewhere that isn't near me!"?
