There are places that will hire ex prisoners. Just tell him not to give up. I have been in a similiar situation. I also have a record. Now that I changed my life I have a good job. I didn't give up. It wasn't easy getting a job. But eventually I did.

Depending on what your friend was convicted on, could make or break his chances on getting a job. Try Wal*Mart as they pretty much hire anyone. Or try going to your local police station or government facility to talk to someone who knows that information about Ex-Prisoners and working again. Good Luck

all you can do is tell poeple that he is good and that he is trust worthy and be refrence for him you can look in the phone book i am sure there is somthing in there for that but personally all you can do is be refrence and talk highly about him. Maybe get him in at your work somewhere even if he does have to do janitor work at least it is work and a step in the door.
GOOD LUCK
