I worked for a Plastic Surgeon for five years. I also have personally known a couple of people who have had the surgery. I do not know anyone who was sorry they had the surgery. However, it is a rough surgery. There is a lot of blood and fluid loss and it is painful. Everyone is different as far as the recovery, but as far as the results of the surgery, I do not know anyone who was not absolutely THRILLED.

It is not an inexpensive surgery. If you have a medical reason, insurance will cover it. Many insurance companies do not approve the surgery instantly though. The insurance companies usually make you "jump through hoops," before finally approving the surgery.

I had this surgery 5 years ago and it definately has it's pros and cons. My boobs are much cuter, but it was a pretty bad experience. And I had a great doctor. I ended up with some complications that took several months to heal. Major pyschological impact as well. Think about it awhile, think of all that can go wrong, because sometimes it DOES, then find a great M.D. to discuss your case with.

I had a friend who had a reduction. Her back pain is gone and she wears cuter, sexier clothes. She looks great and is much happier.
