Mathematically it is impossible for a honey bee's wings to support it in flight.
The praying mantis is the only insect that can turn it's head.
Scientists still do not know how a cat purrs or where in it's body the noise comes from.

Whales sounds are produced by moving air back and forth through body passages. These haunting sounds may travel kilometres under water and can be heard above the surface. The intricate vocalisations produced range from high squeaks to low guttural growls, with many being at a frequency so low that they can not be heard by humans.
Often, the sounds produced are organised into long sequences and are called songs. Humpback whales are thought to produce the longest and most varied songs in the animal world, especially during the breeding season. Only male humpbacks sing. Each sequence normally lasts 10 - 15 minutes and can be repeated without pause, for hours. A blue whale song may last ten hours.

Polar bears live in the Arctic.
Now that just has to be cool.
How about ~ Bees. They could really hold their own at a disco. Not only do they dance, but they also signal through the choreography, just where the best meal is around for miles!
Sash.

I have heard that sloths only come down from trees to mate and defacate. They do the latter only once every 6 weeks or so and they can lose up to 1/3 of their body wieght in the process! Don't know if that's true but it conjurs up some interesting images.

Owls are actually the stupidest of the Birds of Prey (FACT!) - because they have such huge eyes and ears their brain is the size of a pea. Talk about being pea-brained!
They hunt totally on instinct.
The Golden Orb Spider's web is stronger than steel - also their webs can be large enough to catch large prey (birds) - but mostly they LOVE wasps and hornets as a meal

The Daddy Long Legs has enough poison to kill a human but has no mouth parts to bite with. The giraffe is the only animal that can insert its head into its own rectum.... Nah made the last bit up but it sounded feasable lol

Dolphins can recognise their own reflection in a mirror (other animals can't - they either ignore the image or display the same signs that they would when confronted with another animal)
Scientists sprayed dolphins with blue spots on one side of their bodies, and on seeing them in the mirror, the dolphins turned to try to see them on their real bodies.

My favorite animal is the Tardigrade (a.k.a. the Water Bear). These fascinating aquatic creatures can withstand temps of about -273 C, 120 C, 1000 atmospheres of pressure, and the vacuum of space. They are also highly resistant to toxic materials.
Amazing, simply amazing...
