All depends on the define of "hot baths". A person's hot bath can be another person's "luke warm". Either way, anything beyond 100 degree's is not healthy. Most hot tubes are roughly set at 105 (24/hour fitness is as a gym member). Those are not safe temps for pregnant woman. Even for others in it more than 15 mins.
Changes blood pressure, causing blood to thin and pull. Causes light headed ness and increase of tempt. Increase of tempt can cause body to overhead, loss of water retainion and oxygen in blood supply. Decreases metabilism and will affect our respitory system too.
Warm showers/baths are recommended to soothe. However, monitor body tempt and regulation. Make it a point to set a time limit in bath and no hot tubs.

I know a woman that got into a tub of very hot water and she miscarried the bad part about it is she meant to do that.
It's not a good idea unless you can control the temperature and set it at no more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Soaking in hot water or sitting in a hot, steamy room can make you overheat, which raises your heart rate and reduces blood flow to your uterus, potentially putting your baby under stress or interfering with normal development. And because pregnant women have a hard time cooling down, you're more likely to pass out if you get overheated in a hot tub or sauna -- an especially dangerous proposition in either setting.
Hot tubs are usually too hot to be safe for pregnant women to use. We know that water over 105 degrees is damaging to developing cells. It won't damage yours, but the baby is sitting in fluid that's also going to get very warm. And extreme temperatures can damage very early embryos. So hot-tubbing in the first trimester could cause malformations in the fetus or cause you to lose the baby.

You are not supposed to take really hot baths or get in a hot tub because it could potentially overheat the baby. The baby is already warmed by your body, but when you raise your body's temperature, you raise the baby's. There are various body systems forming in the baby at different times and some of those systems could potentially harm the child.
I don't want to scare you though. Most of the time, everything will be fine, but just like with everything else, (alcohol, caffeine, medications,) a pregnant woman should take every precaution she can to ensure the healthy development of her baby,
Good luck and enjoy your new baby!

They say this because the baby's temperature is hotter than your body temperature and raising your body temperature to over 102 degrees will kill the baby. So to be on the safe side they say don't take hot baths. I have only had like 2 baths since I have been pregnant. I take showers to be on the safe side. I wouldn't worry about if it has hurt the baby so far because most likely it is fine. I would just switch to showers or cool baths.

You have a risk of overheating the baby. A warm bath, not hot, should be ok but check to see what your doctor recommends.
In the third trimester, baths are not recommended because your water could break and you wouldn't know it.

the hot water can change ur blood pressure significantly which may be dangerous for ur pregnancy.
warm baths or showers not lasting more than 20 min are ok, but hot or very hot baths are not good.

my dr and i have read that if your body temp gets to hot or over heated by hot tub mostly then your body starts to like cook your unborn child and you are more prone to infections like UTI's and yeast infections..... babycenter.com has more info on this topic.

i guess they say it because it would sound like it would keep the baby nice and warm. hence safe and healthy. as for the hot tub thing .... umm isnt that alittle too hot. ok for that part i think they are just saying that cause theyre pervs. and maybe you shouldnt cause you skin would get more oxegon and your going to need more of that if your pregnant cause the baby has to breath too.
