They can but after a time you feel very lonely. There is an untalked about rift between bachelors and married people and latter often feel that former ones are intruding in their marital and family life while former feel left out, ignored and neglected. There comes a stage when all the friends of a person are married and have kids and prefer to talk to people in similar life stage as they can relate more to each other. So, you either have the option between jumping on the bandwagon before time passes or go to bars and share your loneliness with people like you. Physical touch also matters, one that is full of love and care and tender feelings and not just related to sex and lust. That is what I can think of.

Yes! about best friend. Your best friend gets married after a stage too and have a family to look after. The friendship usually takes a lower place in the priority list. Or they will drift after a time. Marital life seems to be more serious because people think ofit as a lifelong commitment and move on to next level and betterment for the future. No future plans and security terrifies many people too.

rather no longer mandatory to marry. there are a number of different alternatives. And to evade loneliness is a poor reason to get married. Hasn't everyone realised that being with somebody isn't a therapy for loneliness? Loneliness should be understood no longer coated over in marriage, companionship, acquaintances, etc. that's to no longer say to no longer have those relationships - they're necessary - yet what is going on should be understood. while loneliness is theory, one would be on my own, no problem. "The married logician is a humorous tale." no longer my words!

I am happier married. We all need company. If I wasn't married, I would have a girlfriend to live with and travel with. I would see my son every weekend. I would surround myself with friends and consider remarriage.

I believe the happiest people are the ones who do not settle for what is not good enough for them and then try to fix it. They go for what they want. I am not suggesting a period alone is bad. If you had just broken up with a boyfriend and had a child to take care of, I would suggest a wait of a couple of years. Not forever, we were born to find soul mates and companions.

Marriage is not always a serious issue. You can be married to your best friend. That would be ideal. It also has great side benefits like a tax break and insurance coverage.

Can be alone. Actually marriage was proposed to increase the friendship, but unfortunately as the expectations are very high and dissatisfaction leads to loss of interest and also people have no commitments.

You can have one wife. but u can have many best friends. in ur way, it does not support safe sex.

just try to spend a day w/out sharing ur thought or w/o uttering even a single word to anyone. if this is possible, u can surely live & enjoy ur life alone.

That would largely depend on who you were with. People who really need each other and enjoy each other do not have this issue:)
