512 mb @ 667 mhz with t7200 should do fine, including toshiba
the 'touch & launch' touchpad on m100 seemed innovative

The satellite M100 is a nice computer.

More RAM is always better. Your CPU is designed to multi-task, but is also designed to go slower if you have less memory.

You will have a 100 MB hard drive, a mult-format DVD Writer, and wireless connections all competing for resources.

Resources mean CPU time and memory access. Get as much RAM as you can afford, 2 GB is best for that CPU.

Okay well 512 is alot of memory if you do not plan on playing high graphic games. It is plenty for internet use and photos and music and what not however to make a full anylse you will want to know how much the harddrive is and how much your proccessor speed is. (Mhz or Ghz) actually i just looked it up HOLD ON TO THAT LAPTOP MAN ITS GOOODDD i read it has intel duo core proccessor and with 1.66 Ghz that s great it must have cost a pretty penny stick with it!! usually btw at least 60-70 gigabytes HDD is good or at least 800 Mhz 512 ram is good 1 gb is better but pricier

I like using 512 my self because that way I know its not over kill. More RAM is not always the best keep in mind your dealing with half of a gig which will run your computer real well. ADDING a gig is nice but not necessary to go that rout all the time.

The spec is almost comparable. and speaking approximately your standards. overall performance, high quality, reliability isn't so fur, and and After revenues service? hmm, choose for Dell. that's greater proper.
