Perhaps you poke it too hard and it's holding a grudge. Try eating some of it's kitten food with it, I can almost guarantee a giggle will issue forth. ;)
P.S. I'm assuming your question was a joke-so is my answer. Please do not eat the kitten food in real life, I don't want to be the cause of you growing whiskers.
