Bachelor's, then four years of med school to become a medical doctor (you are already a doctor when you do your residency), then another 3 years for a residency in emergency medicine (the length of residencies varies depending upon the specialty).

It starts in a university, you can have a major you like (enjoy you college life somewhat) med school want to see diversity as long as you finish the prerequisits and MCATS that is 4 years. Then 4 years of medical school and depending on what your specialty is it is usually 4 years unless you take a fellowship a specialy of a certain area example anestetics to childrens anestetics that can be an extra 2-4 year. But again each residency is different surgery being one of the longest but the average time to become an MD is 12 years=4college+4med school+4 residency
