Why would a guy call you beautiful and tell your other guy friend you are "hot" and then tease you constantly. For some reason that seems like an oxymoron to me. I thought if a guy liked you he would be as nice as possible.
The teasing is mild but every once in a while has a sexual connotation to it and he is always poking me in the back or sides and grabbing my shoulders or being a smart-alec. What's going on??

It may sound strange, but it's just his way of flirting with you. Maybe he doesn't know any other way to show you, but he's definitely giving you attention. He likes you! :)

Believe it or not, it sounds like he's just trying to be a little 'flirty'. It's kind of a guy thing to try and be noticed, and sometimes comes across as a little clumsy. Think of it like a boy giving a girl a playful shove in the playground - they don't quite know how to 'engage' in play, so they go all blokey (ie, boyish)...
Unless there is genuine malice behind it and you are really uncomfortable, try teasing back. We mere males have fragile egos, but none of us have been killed by verbal banter yet...

this guy is crazy about you, i mean, head over heals. it's strange i know, but i am the same way, if not worse. if i like a girl, i tell her that she is georgiuos, however, i feel that a relationship has to leave room to lauge, play and have fun, so i make sure she has a sence of humor. you want to see him go completely gaga over you, simply dish it right back, in a cute, sexy, fun sorta way! ^_^
