why would anyone know that

A student visa is supposed to limit you to working a school-related job, such as the bookstore, snack shop, office administration, ect. To work as a immigrant worker is supposed to take a Green Card and a tax number. If you find a job without those two items, the boss that hired you and you are violating the law.

You need an E-2 visa to teach English. You won't be granted the E-2 visa if you don't have a BA in any field.

You can try your luck at illegal privates.

yes it is illegal to work while you are a student, however the law is antiquated and more than likely never enforced
