I have had a horrible day! Really! One of the worst days and I want to get away for the night this weekend. Train? Car? I don't care.

Where? Who knows. Mountains? (big bear) Desert? Up north?

Just need a reasonable hotel where it's nice and relaxing.
It would also be a plus if there were some things to do too :)

What do you think?

Go to Orange County, or San Diego :-) Good luck! There's a nice Super 8 in Costa Mesa that runs about $75 a night.

relies upon on what you're finding for and how plenty you're keen to spend. time-honored rule is that the greater suitable east you pass, the greater serious issues get, yet additionally greater much low priced. in case you have got sufficient funds to stay in a sea coast city, i will propose huge apple sea coast, the place I lived for a whilst. in case you choose greater much low priced, yet nevertheless quite close to to the sea coast, seem to Carson, Culver city, Hawthorne, Gardena, and Torrance. long sea coast would desire to be stable, yet some aspects would be extremely unsavory (yet that's actual of everywhere i've got stated). in case you choose greater nightlife, you are going to prefer to be as close to to Hollywood as a possibility. in case you have have been given the money, seem to the the Griffith Park section (Los Feliz is surprising, and a few places are not too high priced). Glendale and Pasadena would desire to have some stable places, too. i'd propose you reside removed from something without delay South of la, touching the Harbor Gateway, till a minimum of the 405 expressway. Orange County is incredibly surprising, all around too, yet rather has a tendency to be greater high priced than L.A.
