Yes zoloft is really bad for your sex drive. It effects lots and lots of people that way, he should discuss it with his doctor as they will put him on another med to counteract with the zoloft such as a viagra type med.

Common problem with Zoloft. Here's what I have heard might work:
1. Wait and see if it goes away (doubtful)
2. Lower dose
3. Change meds
4. Take Wellbutrin, either in place of or along with Zoloft
5. Get Rx for other drugs that offset the side effect
6. Viagra/Cialis supposedly helps this problem too
7. Drug Holiday - skip- meds for a day or two before sex
8. Ginko Biloba - 200 mg/day
9. Porn/foreplay for a long time
Obviously most of these (CERTAINLY 2 through 7) require consultation with your doctor. I have recently started Ginko but I have no news yet.

While I haven't had the problem myself, I know that it's common and Zoloft is one of the drugs with a lousy track record for sexual side effects.
I hope that your partner will see his doctor to see if another drug will be effective for depression without causing the sexual issue.
The ads for Wellbutrin claim just that, but the doc is the best source of advice. Good luck.

I've heard of it.
If your partner is taking Zoloft, may I guess he has schitzophrenia.
Don't doubt that you will prefer him with the Zoloft!@!
That is a not a disease to screw around with.
Sadly, the disease is heriditary as well, which really sucks.

Apparently Ginkgo helps with that particular side-effect.
