My wife is at home with 2 little kids (3 and 5), as a result she is at times tested by them. We are going to be visiting family in the Seattle area, I was thinking of leaving the kids with the family and doing something there for one night. Any ideas?

Too many ideas, depends! well, just GIVE her something that you'd think makes her HAPPY. My EX BF loves to write. On our one-year anniversary, I gave him a poem book to write poems in. He ended up making it a poem book about me and he gave it to me on our second year anniversary. Letting each other know that you support what they are doing, indeed, truly express HOW MUCH YOU really love each other...HAPPY 9th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!

Leather is the contemporary gift for your ninth annivesary. Why not get creative and leave the kids with relatives and get some leather outfits that you can experiment with after a nice dinner. Find a hotel with a view of the water or the PI Tower. Or the Needle.. After dinner blindfold your beloved and take her to the hotel and let your imagination go wild.

You both deserve a break. It's a ninth anniversary for me, too and just remembering nine years ago in the crisp Colorado night brings back wonderful memories.

Happy Day!

Get a wonderful weekend away somewhere very nice. Show her how much she means to you and give her a reason to dump Mr. Internet. Work hard to repair what has gone wrong in your marriage. I've been married 9 years myself, and there have been several ups and downs with us also. Communication is number one. Always put the other person before anything/anyone else. Don't give up, try as hard as you can to remind her why you ended up together in the first place. A little getaway just might remind her that she already has the man she wants. If she's not admitting it, she may not be willing to part with you.

How beautiful that you are even thinking of doing something with her. Yes, take advantage of visiting with family, and leaving the kids with them for a few hours. Take her out on the town, take her to dinner, and a nice romantic walk, maybe by her some little special trinket. Just you thinking of her on that day would be enough to her I'm sure, but just make her feel special. Good luck, and have fun!

That is sooo~sweet~Lay down a path of flower petals lined by candles too lead her to a romantic dinner with music and slow dancing~ then follow that with a warm bubble-bath and then carry to the bed from the bath and finally MAKE-LOVE! Have a great time! Get a hotel room for the night-I'm sure she can use some time away from reality.

I don't have any suggestions for you---hope you get some good ones from other husbands who write in, BUT, I want you to know how refreshing and delightful it is to see a guy so thoughtful of his wife! Bless you. Hope you have a GREAT anniversary and marriage.

On my 9th anniversary I took my wife horseback riding and then took her to a chapel to renew our vows.
