Ok, so i have 6 of the 8 badges in jhoto. I'm in Olivine city and need to know how to get to the next gym. Any help is much appriciated.

1) Head back to Eureak city and travel west using surf.
2) Keep going past the trainers and you'll arrive in the next city
3) Head to the lake of rage in the north
4) Return to town and battle rockets in their hideout
5) The door to the gym in town will be opened. Come prepared with fire types/electrics

from olivine city, stay north (up) and east(right) and keep going.
you'll come to a place where there is a dark cave (mt mortar) and there is water to the right.
go through the water, there's an island with 3 aprikorns. keep going right, through the next water, and you'll be in the city with the next gym.
as has already been pointed out, you need to finish the lake of rage segment to the north before you can do this gym.
after you do this gym, keep going to the right, you'll need to get through a puzzling ice cave in order to get to the next city, blackthorn.
when in blackthorn, you can go to the dragon gym after you get the dragon fang - which is actually not that much of a challenge.
north of the city, rather, IN the city, there is a tunnel to the dragon cave. in there, surf around the left edge and to the south, then to the right. it's right there.
now you can get into the last gym, which means that after you beat that gym, you can finally challenge the elite four and start up the kanto part of the game

Go to Ecruteak city and go right. Go through Mt.Mortar(I think.its been a long time since i played)and you will end up in Mahogany town. You can't fight the gym now. Go to the top of the city and follow the path. You will end up in RAGE LAKE. SURF and catch/defeat(i recommend the former) the RED GYARADOS(that's right a red gyarados) and go back ashore. You will see a man with a black cape reading the board talk to him and go back to mahogany town. In one of the houses he'll be fighting.After the fight you'll hav to fight TEAM ROCKET. Good luck. After finishing them off you can enter the gym.(it'll be tricky to get to the gym leader)

look on the map or get a online guide. go to google and type in pokemon silver or something like that. I beat that game milions of timez
