If you are amenorrhoeic (meaning you don't have periods) when you're not on the pill, you need to see an endocrinologist. You might have a pituitary gland problem. If you also have symptoms such as hair thinning or hair loss, weight gain, excess facial hair or hair on areas where women normally don't have hair, or even acne, you should visit the doctor immediately. You might have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome)

That is odd, how did you get the bcp? Did you see a gyno for them? You need an exam and some tests most likely. What is your diet like? your weight? any thyroid problems? all those contribute to period problems. You definitely need to see a gyno though because 20 is too old not to have developed to the stage of normal periods on a monthly basis.

you should certainly 1. see a gynecologist and 2. make sure you use a condom and/or other birth control when having sex. Not having your period is no guarantee you cannot become pregnant. Liking and trusting your boyfriend very much is no guanrantee he is not a carier of a sexually tranmitted disease.

Birth control pills, taken as directed, without stopping on your own, can regulate your period. You should see your doctor with this problem.
