What is the machine that is used to measure sine and cosine waves? All I know about it is that you can see the waves colored green, and it has something to do with sound and pitch...like you hook it up and make a sound and you see the waves and take readings. What is it called?

One worry-free way would be to plug in the factors and spot what values you will desire to make the equation actual for all 3 factors. permit's use P and Q to represent the unknown values: x² + y² + Px + Qy + 4 = 0 Plug-in the values for factor A (2, -2): 2² + (-2)² + P(2) + Q(-2) + 4 = 0 4 + 4 + 2P - 2Q + 4 = 0 2P - 2Q = -12 P - Q = -6 Do the comparable for factor B (-a million, -3) (-a million)² + (-3)² + P(-a million) + Q(-3) + 4 = 0 a million + 9 - P - 3Q + 4 = 0 P + 3Q = 14 And back for factor C (0, -a million) (0)² + (-a million)² + P(0) + Q(-a million) + 4 = 0 a million - Q + 4 = 0 Q = 5 From right here we can pass back and choose P: P - Q = -6 P - 5 = -6 P = -a million So the suited equation which will contain all 3 factors is: x² + y² - x + 5y + 4 = 0

An oscilloscope. Early oscilloscopes had green-colored traces, but modern oscilloscopes can have traces of any color (including multiple colors in the same scope.)
