I'm going to be doing a persuasive speech and I'm having trouble finding a topic. I need to persuade my audience of something and I want it to be original. I want a topic that will really make my audience think. For example, the positive side of sweat shops. They might not pay much, but for many that $1 a day is keeping them alive and away from prostitution. Something like that (I can't use that one because it was an example my professor gave). This is my final speech, so I need it to be a good one. I'm speaking to college students so I need something that will affect them, but yet I don't want it to be about not smoking or something like that because my professor has probably heard a million speeches about that topic. Please help.

well, here's just a suggestion:

We have all of the PETA people going around today making their groups and recruiting new vegans, so here's a thought. They constantly talk about not killing animals and letting them live in peace, but if we let them live on what would happen? Just last week on the voting bill we had to vote on whether we wanted to allow hunters to shoot morning doves for practice, because they are becoming overpopulated, and we now have pigs and boars that the hunters can shoot cuz they too are becoming overpopulated, so get them thinking, if they try to stop people eating animals, then the animals will be shot and killed eventually due to overpopulation. it will get them thinking! just an idea!

-you should be an organ donor -you should not use microwave ovens (research the dangers a bit) -cell phones should not be allowed while driving Hmm can't think of any others right off the top of my head..but I just had to do a persuasive speech a few weeks ago too. You can google a lot of interesting topics.

gay marriage rights are always a hot topic.... abortion....i remember i did a persuasive speech on why assisted suicide should be legal. it was fun..because it was somethin that isnt really a popular feeling. but after doing research, i really feel that way. hmm if you have a hard time finding a topic, u could possibly jus flip onto the news and find something.
