No.

Many countries have tourists and Business people visiting the host country. Therefore, many languages are spoken in many countries around the world.....Not just the USA.

I make an attempt to speak a few words or phrases in the Language of the country I am visiting. That is respectful and polite.

The USA is very different, we allow workers in a MacDonald's to speak a foreign language and have an interpreter finalize the order. Therefore, one half the orders are incorrect.

Hope this helps.

Our country is made up of foreigners. The world of business made English the common language for conversing. In doing this, children from other countries are routinely taught English as well as their own language. The United States is probably the worst developed country as far as ratio of people that speak one language only. I don't think alot of peolpe get this when they're watching someone speak a second language in the States.

Not allowed in the US.

The 1st Amendment freedom of expression guarantees the right to teach and speak foreign languages. The Supreme Court addressed this issue about 90 years ago.
