And just why do you think the second most successful life form on the planet should be afraid of the most successful life form? It's not like they're going to farm us and turn us into their primary food source. Now maggots. There's a different story!

We have tried to wipe them out every which way possible and yet they are not only here, but in fact thriving. I think we should stop trying to get rid of them and instead look at them as a truly renewable food source (as some cultures around the world do). I have heard they are delicious marinated in vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper sauce and promptly deep-fried; and I ain't kidding you either. So NO, not only I am NOT afraid of them I am thinking seriously to add them to my regular diet (heck all that vinegar, lemon juice, and deep frying will kill all the germs and get rid of all the gooey runny stuff anyway - ummm crunchy yummy). But as irony shall have it, once everyone is in on the secret we might unwillingly end up wiping them off the face of the planet, after all!!! ... I hope NOT, I hope we start farming them in huge numbers to satisfy the hunger of an exploding world population. Bon Apetit!

Not in general, but if one was crawling on my skin under my clothes I would sure be flipping out!!
..it's a different case if one is scurrying under the fridge when I turn on the light to enter the room..
I think more than fear, it is disgust I feel towards their disease carrying little bodies.
Eww.

I suppose screaming and jumping on the nearest stable item when I see them classifies as being scared of them, so yes I am lol. I just hate insects in general. Yuck!

Not in this lifetime my only animal fear is a magpie (bird that swoops in spring and hurts like crazy when it hits) and yes that includes not having a phobia of snakes and spiders

YES, and I don't let them live either! They are very, very dirty, filthy, gross looking and living creatures. I don't even know why they were put on this earth in the first place! What is their purpose, other than to gross people out!

Actually , they live in filthy places. So if they fly towards me, i am scared of getting that filthy touch. I think most of the persons worry about that touch, because they never bite.
So I am scared of them ( of filthy touch not of biting )

Yes because in North America they are bigger than they are in South America, even when they can not fly in NA.
